I'm trying to switch from ValAddThis (a joomla plugin) to the custom plugin supplied by AddThis. Everything works great except the count are all reset to zero. I've checked my ID and it is in the plugin and in the custom code but still getting counts of zero. Do have anything I can try to get my counts to show up? This lack of clarity makes it difficult to write the terms of service on our own site and from a legal perspective, we must assume that tracking might still be in place. I just pasted the title from another posted question because I have this exact problem and no one has bothered to response to that gentleman's question. I did find a very similar question to which AddThis replied that you can preserve existing share counts when switching to AddThis only for certain services (Facebook and either Twitter or LinkedIn). However, I find that even the existing Facebook and LinkedIn/Twitter share counts don't get preserved. This has got to be the biggest barrier to AddThis adoption for publishers with established websites, so I imagine there has to be a way to make this work.

When taking the context straight from the "Get the Code" page, and placing it in an HTML file with nothing but the standard HTML headers and the AddThis code, the compact menu does not appear. Is there anything more that is needed other than what is copy/paste from the "Get the Code" page? My understanding it was all that is needed. I've tested it on Firefox 12, Chrome, IE, and Safari. For PIN it, button, we are using thrid party script as : When a user clicks on the PIN IT link, a pop up window opens. But when this pop up window opens in IE9, the maximize button for Pop up window is disabled and it does not show the complete content for the page so the user cannot see the complete page. In other browsers, the maximize button for the pop up window is enabled so the user can click on the maximize button and see all the content. Also, when I try to open the sample PIN IT button given on http://support.addthis.com, its behavior is the same as on our site. Hi, I know the "where do I put the code" question is asked a million times, but I can't find an answer to specifically address my situation, so here goes. I had my custom Wordpress (.org) site/theme built out from PSDs that I designed. In the designs, I included AddThis buttons, which the programmer implemented in the code. A rollover toolbar at the top of the main index, and on each post, and then a few individual buttons at the bottom of the single post page. You can see them on my live site here: www.sandoozle.com I've subsequently signed up for my AddThis account, and I have my AddThis Profile ID#, etc. What do I need to do now to make sure that the buttons on my site link up with my actual account, and everything works properly? I've installed the AddThisShare plugin to my Wordpress dashboard, and have linked the Profile ID# to it, but I'm not actually using those top and bottom share tools via the plugin, so will the buttons I have on the site link up properly? Please help...I am having no luck whatsoever in installing the like buttons..I get the code from your window and install it but nothing is there..no images of the buttons? There does not appear to be a path to the img src for the buttons inthe code. I am new to this so I guess I am doing (not doing) something wrong? Any help much appreciated. Steve

Such as when I visit http://www.coksoft.com/autotyper.htm, the website will change to http://www.coksoft.com/autotyper.htm#.UYTecEoSsak. If I delete addthis code, this problem won't appear. I got addThis to record our first facebook share, but after that the counter doesn't seem to be working. I've used your service before and for many years and love it but I can't seem to figure out the issue I'm having at the moment. I started a new blog. It's on Wordpress. I installed your plugin, activated it, entered my account ID. It is showing as valid in the back end settings panel of the WP. I log in here, I added my bitly key and account login name. Go to blog. Click "Tweet" icon. Tweet opens up with a not shortened link. Strangely though, the links show up in bitly! But obviously with no clicks since the shortened link doesn't materialize or get pushed out to Twitter. I thought this was a bitly issue. Went to them. Was told:I'm perplexed by why the links wouldn't shorten if it is using our API. My only suggestion would be resetting your API key." So I reset my key. Went back to blog. Tried again. Link still won't shorten from the blog when trying to tweet. Also your analytics here are showing I had 0 clicks on the links you made, yet Google is showing I had almost 100 uniques to my first blog post on the first day. Something is up. I just want everything to work properly. Thanks.

Hello We have been experiencing issues with AddThis picking up old links and sharing them instead of the current link that the code is pointing to. This has been a problem for the last 24 hours and means we have had to manually share via Twitter and repeatedly click on the Facebook share link until it finds the correct link. A new problem has appeared with AddThis module of page when using FireFox 20.0.1 With that browser when you put your mouse hover any icons, it shows up the Bookmark & share popup.
