Share menu not displaying

nois Sep 14, 2012 07:39AM EDT

I am currently reworking my website and am having issues with the addthis share menu not displaying.

For some reason it is trying to load:
http://ct1.addthis.com/http://ct1.addthis.com/static/r07/menu123.js

Obviously this fails and means the menu doesn't display.

The wesbite is http://www.av-tools.co.uk and the code is at line 95 of the html.

Also I tried adding the facebook send button, but when I clicked on it the dropdown menu was fighting the adsense advert (when using flash), is there a work around for this? I have currently removed it.

Many thanks

Hi there,

Which browser are you using when you see this error? I can't seem to duplicate it.

We are experiencing the same error on our website at http://www.smashdeals.com/ in Chrome. Please try one of the deal or coupon share buttons.

Unfortunately I can't duplicate the issue on your site. The only error I can see is that your show_ads.js isn't loading.

Paul,

Here is a screenshot of the error. I am using Chrome version 21.0.1189.89 m. As I stated, I have tried the latest beta and dev Chrome release (22+) and the issue persists there too (on Windows 7 and Windows 8). No issue with IE 9 or Firefox 15.

Unfortunately I can't duplicate the error. Here's the page in a Chrome 22 Incognito window: http://i.imgur.com/y85Z4.png

As you can see the only error is in your ads.js script not being able to access the iframe. Are you sure you're not running some sort of software on your computer that might be blocking our code?

I am guessing that your website/application is on the google web store. I have the same problem and it is specific to Google Chrome. If I uninstall my application (Treescape http://apexearth.info/treescape/) then the addthis works properly. There is some kind of incompatibility with Google Chrome applications. I would love to see this fixed!
