Removing the Joomla Plugin...

I tried installing the AddThis extension for Joomla 2.5 earlier, and instead of showing up only on the pages I wanted it to (ie the company Blog instead of all pages), it shows up everywhere. I removed the plugin and it still shows up, despite the fact that removing an extension /should/ in my experience remove every trace of it. How do I get rid of the thing?! I've used AddThis for years on various WordPress sites and have never had a problem, but this experience is putting me off of using it again...
