"private browsing"

Hi everyone

I was looking for info on how to use Google Analytics to track Bitly, however I find Google Analytics rather less than easy to use. Your interface is rather more easy to use. It will still take a little work, but seems open and plain enough.

I would like to know what you think of private browsing, where most people clear cookies automatically and do not allow javascript to be performed.

My response to this is to link my websites using Bitly and then I know where people are going and what they find interesting. That way I can tailor my websites to meet their needs more.

Do you have systems that record IP addresses such as my website server? I note that I am getting two visits according to my Statcounter (Javascript/Cookie) and 23 on my server ...

I am having a long think about all this as I am re-vamping my website. I am only using Google analytics to track Adwords campaigns nowadays.

Any thoughts on this? Gemma Laming
