Copy/Paste Issue With IE9 and Microsoft Excel

On our website people often copy and paste text from the website to Microsoft Excel. However when text is pasted on the Excel an extra text is pasted with the copied text. For example, if the text “Welcome” is copied from the website and then pasted on the Excel, than it pastes following texts on the Excel:

</body>
Welcome

The text “</body>” appears right on top of the copied text. This only happens with Internet Explorer 9. I am using Excel 2010 with IE9.

This error goes away when “addthis_widget.js” file is removed from the site. Since removal of “addthis_widget.js” is not an option, I need a solution to remove the extra text “</body>”. Why is it doing that and how to resolve it?
