Is is possible to mix preferred and specified services without duplication? (toolbox)

Hi,

We're considering implementing a customised AddThis toolbox on our site and would like to show a couple of specified buttons to all users (Twitter and Facebook most likely), and then supplement these with user-preferred options, in order to get the maximum shares.

However, we obviously don't want duplicate buttons appearing...

Is there a way to do this?
