Personalizing button presentation (menu or otherwise)

I am in the process of assessing AddThis as a sharing solution for two client sites.

I ran across some "personalization" options where the user is presented with as short pop-up and "more" option (rather than the full array of sharing and bookmarking options all at once). From reading the description, it seems that the options in the initial short pop-up seemed to be determined by the site visitors usage patterns. If that is true, each site visitor would be presented with the most appropriate sharing / bookmarking options based on their own preferences.

However, I am unclear if that is actually what is happening. Are the options presented based on the ones most used on the site or those most used by the site visitor? If they are based on the usage of the site visitor is it the usage across all sharing and bookmarking networks, or is it only usage via AddThis? Across all sharing and bookmarking networks would be best of course, but I am unsure how AddThis would assess this.

Or perhaps is it simpler - do I "personalize" the menu by manually picking the sharing / bookmarking options presented.

Perhaps the documentation is clear about this, but I found it ambiguous. Perhaps all are possibilities?
