Tweet count not updating on tumblr blog

I installed the add this for tumblr, (using this page: https://www.addthis.com/get/sharing#.T3ia2dWiY4I) using the third style (with the likes and tweets counted individually) and then changed the code very slightly to have the tweets coming via my username (illdoitanyway) rather than via add this, and adding a follow button for my twitter. The tweet count shows different numbers for different posts but hasn't updated since I installed the add this though there have been tweets showing up on the analytics. All the instructions I can find relate to making sure the full url rather than a shortened one is used but as in tumblr this is one bit of code which then applies to all posts rather than a separate code for each post I can't work out where I can find and change this, if it is the problem.
