Email Button Not Working in Chrome, Firefox

customerlinkwebsites Feb 17, 2012 01:38PM EST

Like others have mentioned, the email feature appears not to be working. THe form appears fine, the CAPTCHA appears fine, but upon clicking Send, nothing happens.

Here is a sample page:

The email links are in each of the coupons appearing on the left side of the page.

Unfortunately I can't duplicate it in any of the browsers I've tried. Could you give me some more information about your browser setup?

+1 We are having the same issue. Eg: http://grist.org/oil/obama-mocks-drill-baby-drill-the-american-people-arent-stupid/

In particular, clicking on the send button on the captcha screen does not work.

looks like the offending function is tellFriend()

This renders the email tool useless in these browsers :( any advice?

Which browsers are you seeing the problem in? I was able to send an email from the link you sent in Chrome 17, Safari 5.1, Firefox 10, and Internet Explorer 8 and 9.

Could you send me screenshots? I'm still not able to duplicate it in those browsers on Windows or Mac.

@Paul: I have screenshots. How do I get them to you?

FYI, I turned on Firebug to help debug the problem, and immediately after typing the message and pressing Send (but before the CAPTCHA appears), this Javascript error message appears:

"NetworkError: 408 Request Time-out - http://cf.addthis.com/red/p.json?rb=0&gen=300&sid=4f4bf39d11d3056e&callback=_ate.ad.hrr&pub=customerlinkwebsites&mk=Moore%20Auto%20-%20Auto%20Repair%20Reviews%20in%20Roseville%20CA%2CAuto%20Repair%20reviews%20in%20Roseville%2Cmechanics%20in%20Roseville%2CRoseville%20Auto%20Repair%20ratings%2CAuto%20Repair%20coupons%20in%20Roseville&uid=4cfbf57e14d0276b&url=http%3A%2F%2Freviews.customerlink.com%2Fbiz%2Fmoore-auto-roseville&sgmi9x&dest=email"

The reason I can't duplicate the issue is because it's related to the connectivity between you and our CAPTCHA provider. Does this happen all the time or at specific times?
