Destinations & Services

Please note: The AddThis menu is optimized based on your viewer's browser language setting, favorite services and other factors. To get the most sharing and traffic back to your site, we strongly recommend letting AddThis select which services to present in your menus.

However, if you wish to override these sharing optimization features, you can choose which services are listed in both the compact (on-hover) menu and the expanded menu.

Optional Arguments

services_compact Optional
Comma-separated list of services from our list to appear in the compact menu.
services_expanded Optional
Comma-separated list of services from our list to appear in the expanded menu.
services_exclude Optional
Comma-separated list of services from our list to exclude from all menus.

N.B. services_compact will always be merged with the user's personally preferred services. For example, if Tumblr isn't in your services_compact list, but the user shares to Tumblr frequently, it'll still appear, merged with your list. To prevent specific services from ever appearing, list them in services_exclude.

Tips

Code Example

var addthis_config = {
           services_compact: 'email, facebook, twitter, more',
           services_exclude: 'print'
}
Share

As noted above, if you've shared to a destination other than Facebook, Twitter or email, you'll see your personal services merged in with the explicit services_compact list. If you haven't, share to another now and refresh the page to see how this works.
